In case you’ve been living under a rock (or, well, not following our every move on Instagram), we just launched our partnership with Harry’s. Given the shaving brand’s bonafides, our goal here was to take charge of the morning, so you can take care of the rest of the day. For a (very) limited time, Mack Weldon customers can get a free Harry’s Plus Shave Set with any order of $250 or more—including a bundle of our top essentials, curated exclusively for the collab.
In the meantime, we thought we’d share some additional morning essentials from our neighborhood in NoMad/Flatiron—breakfast sandwiches, fitness classes, and more.
The Lil’ Shonda at S&P Lunch
The signature breakfast sandwich at the new-ish old-school diner from the Court Street Grocer guys: egg, muenster, smoky pastrami, and pickled green tomato on rye, with a tangy secret sauce to boot.
An Everything Bagel from Ess-a-Bagel
A Leon’s Bagels recently opened right next door to our office. It’s a viral sensation, with lines down the block at all normal bagel-eating hours. We’re sure they’re good, but here’s the thing: Bagels should not be “cool.” They’re bagels. A majority of the time, we’re keeping things simple with an old-reliable Everything and cream cheese from the Ess-a-Bagel around the block.
A 7 AM Class at Strength Club NYC
Our neighborhood is not short on fitness studios, from Barry’s, to pilates. But we’re partial to the no-frills strength training sessions at the small but mighty Strength Club NYC.
A Cream Cheese Frosted Cinnamon Roll from Sunday Morning
There’s nothing fussy about the cinnamon rolls from local bakery, Sunday Morning: They’re soft, warm, sticky, and indescribably delicious. Think of the best mall Cinnabon you’ve ever had in your life (times 10).
The Iced Draft Matcha Latte from Cha Cha Matcha
We’re lucky enough to have a cold brew tap in the office, but when we need a little something extra, we routinely swing by Cha Cha Match for a smooth, earthy draft latte.
A Quick Perusal of Employee Picks at Rizzoli
To be fair, this is more of a late-morning suggestion (they open at 11). But there’s nothing better than stepping out for a walk and checking out the wall of eclectic employee picks at the neighborhood’s most beautiful bookstore—a respite of calm in the middle of the Flatiron district.
